Sponserity is a nonprofit organization born from a simple belief: no one should face addiction alone. As a 501(c)(3) organization, every dollar raised goes straight into building tools, support networks, and resources that empower individuals on their journey to sobriety—never into profit.
Our volunteer board—led by a President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer—brings personal stories of addiction and recovery to everything we do. Their lived experience fuels our empathy, inspires our programs, and reminds us daily that behind every screen is a person deserving of compassion and hope.
We believe that fellowship and mutual support among people in recovery are vital. Sponserity is designed to foster those community connections—so that no one has to walk this path alone, and everyone can lean on fellow travelers for encouragement and strength.
The Sponserity app itself was conceived and coded by a PhD candidate at the University of Missouri under an IRB-approved research protocol. Their academic expertise and heartfelt commitment drive our continuous improvement, blending evidence-based insights with genuine care.
